Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team clinched the 2015 Constructors' Championship at the Russian Grand Prix, ahead of Ferrari and Williams, and ended the season with a record 703 points. The runner-up was his teammate Nico Rosberg, 59 points behind, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel third, another 44 points adrift. Hamilton secured his third Drivers' Championship with three races left in the season. The other change was the cancellation of the German Grand Prix after a venue could not be agreed upon, leaving the nation without a World Championship event for the first time in fifty-five years. The first was the return of the Mexican Grand Prix, held for the first time since 1992.

The calendar featured two significant changes from the 2014 season. His team, Mercedes, began the season as the defending Constructors' Champion, having clinched its first championship title at the 2014 Russian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton was the defending Drivers' Champion after securing his second title at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Twenty-two drivers representing 10 teams contested 19 Grands Prix, starting in Australia on 15 March and ending in Abu Dhabi on 29 November as they competed for the World Drivers' and World Constructors' championships. It was the 66th Formula One World Championship recognised by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula One cars.

If you want a good F1 fix with 3 screens or VR either iRacing, Assetto Corsa or Project Cars will scratch that itch nicely.Mercedes won their second consecutive World Constructors' Championship at the Russian Grand Prix with the F1 W06 Hybrid So I wanted to be fair with a 5 as the problem is specific to my setup and to anyone running 3 screens. From what I was able to play it does seem like a nice improvement in game mechanics over previous titles making it all the worse that I couldn't play it. If it's not going to support VR it has to support 3 screens so once again I had to hit the refund button on a Codemasters game. It's like they never even tested it - which is insane as many hardcore sim racers, like me, have triple monitor setups. Everything is extremely blocky and pixelated, sadly it seems that the issue persists with all multi-monitor setups. When playing in something like 5760x1080 things look horrible and I mean horrible. While you can now use separate devices the textures and anti-aliasing is AWFUL on triple monitor setups. After being disappointed by F1 2015 as it didn't allow for multiple USB controllers (so separate wheel and pedals) I was hoping that 2016 wouldn't have any stupid issues like that - and I was disappointed. After being disappointed by F1 2015 as it didn't allow for multiple USB I gave it a 5 but considered a 1 as it was almost unplayable for me. I gave it a 5 but considered a 1 as it was almost unplayable for me. I was skeptical about this release after years of being disappointed, but this version is the best one yet. The depth of career mode is going to keep me hooked for a while. A lot of fun to play and great to look at. VR support is the only thing missing from this title in my opinion. Graphics look very good on my system, although I have had some FPS problems which I hope will be solved with better optimization down the road. The feeling of F1 is all around you, and it enhances the experience immensely. Presentation is one of the major successes in this game for me. The monotony of grinding out laps is broken by the decision making you need to have the right strategy to maximize your finish. Strategy becomes much more important than in previous versions, and as a result it adds layers of enjoyment to racing. The complexities of F1 are all present, but done in a way that is fairly intuitive and easy to understand.
